This is the permissions list for OOC (out of character), activity.
Answer the following questions with "yes" or "no", as well as additional information if desired.

1). Backtagging: Yes. However I don't get notifications on all tags; if I don't respond within a day PM me so I notice it.
2). Threadhopping: No problem.
3). Fourthwalling: Please ask permission. I generally will give consent but I want to know what I'm getting into first!
4). Canon puncture: Talk to me! Again, I'll probably go for it, but knowing OOC what's gonna happen lends to better scheming.
5). Offensive subjects (elaborate): No pedophilia jokes, IC or OOC. Full stop, do not pass go. Weissmann's obsession with Joshua may lend itself to these but I find it tremendously squicky on an OOC level.
6). Metagaming: NO. Not at all. If you absolutely must, ask first. This is non-negotiable. I do not approve of OOC information bleeding IC, especially when ICly they have no way of knowing that information logically, and I will get very cranky very fast if I catch someone doing it without permission. I find it unfair and terribly rude.

This is the permissions list for IC (in-character), activity.
Answer the following questions with "yes" or "no", as well as additional information if desired. With IC permissions, it's a good idea to elaborate on what other players can expect from your character if they choose to do any of the following:

1). Hugging this character: Hooray, hugs! While Weissmann isn't much fond of touch, his favored persona of Alba is hardly going to reject someone overtly over it.
2). Kissing this character: See above.
3). Flirting with this character: Don't expect a whole lot of reaction, but feel free! Weissmann isn't interested in anyone or anything in a sexual way, and 'Alba' just doesn't get it, so if someone wants a straight man to bounce off of..
4). Fighting with this character: Fighting is OK! The outcome may vary wildly however, on if he chooses to fight back or not..
5). Injuring this character (include limits and severity): If you can inflict it, and said injury isn't godmoded into being, I'll allow generally anything. But I reserve the right to try to ICly inflict injury back, if Weissmann chooses to fight.
6). Killing this character: Oh goodness. If you really want to murder poor innocent Professor Alba, please send me a PM. I might well allow it if it'll make for awesome RP all around! :D


Other Permissions/Warnings:

1. Hypnosis: He is a master at hypnotic induction, can induce it on the fly to unknowing victims (without such things as 'you are getting sleeeepy), and implant suggestions deep in their subconscious. His hypnotic effects can be shaken off, removed or otherwise hindered, and a surprisingly good way to cancel the effect entirely is to beat the snot out of his victim; for some reason the pain of a good beating seems to short out the hypnotic commands. He has the easiest time using hypnotic suggestion on highly focused minds and those with post-traumatic stress disorders, whereas the more genuinely scatterbrained a person is, the less they're able to focus, the harder it is for him to trap them in their own minds.

Limitations: He can no longer force a suggestion onto someone that they might not naturally consider on their own; Weissmann can't force someone to act in a way they absolutely reject and genuinely abhor. He can however reveal subconscious desires and impulses in an individual by planting a suggestion that it seems they'd reject utterly - and then they perform as asked regardless, because the true rejection of the idea isn't there.

2. Memory Alteration: Weissmann can alter, rearange, remove, repress and otherwise change people's memories, to the point of creating entire new personalities for them. Although he doesn't need to touch his victim, touch enhances the effect and his power; likewise he must see his target to affect them.

Limitations: If he takes his time, this process is almost undetectable and painless for the victim; they may never know there was ever a change at all and simply proceed as if all was normal. If he's in a hurry, or simply doesn't care, there are signs that he's tampered with someone; headaches, 'fog' where the memory should have been, and extreme pain if the victim keeps trying to remember what it is they've forgotten. His work can be undone by anyone with similar mental powers or the training to eliminate the problem, though such people are rare in his world.

NOTE: It may not occur to me to PM someone over something they might see as obviously needing a PM! If I take an action that you think needs to be discussed OOCly first, and I've already made the action, please alert me immediately so we can work things out to mutual benefit. I am new to journal-based RP, and am used to running entirely on the concept of 'IC actions equals IC consequences' without a lot of OOC discussion going on, but this doesn't mean I'm not completely willing to retcon posts and situations as needed to accomidate people!

However I can only do this if I'm aware of the problem! Don't be afraid to give me a poke!

ICA=ICC: I am a dedicated follower of the idea that if you do something IC, you should expect IC reactions. This is important not only in dealing with others but because Weissmann himself has a very unusual form of morality. If he does something questionable, feel free to react as you ICly feel is necessary, I'm generally going to roll with the punches, as seen in 1-6 of IC reactions.
